About Bundanoon
Morton National ParkBundanoon is a small village set in the heart of the beautiful Southern Highlands.

Population
Approximately 3,000 happy residents live our beautiful area!

Features
Morton National Park is right on our doorstep, and offers visitors and locals the opportunity to enjoy bushwalking, camping, cycling, photography and beautiful views of fantastic scenery from its lookouts.

Attractions
Glow Worm Glen
You'll have to walk about one kilometre down a trail to experience the magic of the Glow Worms. Night time is best to view the glow worms, but be warned, the worms won't glow if there's noise...shhhh! Don't forget to take a good torch with well charged batteries!

Buddhist Monastery
The Buddhist Monastery in Teudt's Lane is a magnificent retreat overlooking Morton National Park and boasting breathtaking views! Meditation is available to the public, and visitors may attend lunch on Saturdays and Sundays.

Bundanoon Markets
The markets are held on the first Sunday of each month. Come along to see the variety of goods available from the stall holders, who offer, plants, hand crafted items, jams and preserves, and much, much more!

Events
Brigadoon
This annual Highland Gathering is held every April to celebrate Scottish heritage. Brigadoon attracts around 20,000 people who come to enjoy the street parade, tossing the caber, shot putt and haggis hurling. There's also many stalls, great shortbread and it's a fun day out for the whole family!

The Carnival of Scarecrows and Village Garden Ramble
One of the highlights of the year in Bundanoon which features a number of local gardens which are open to the public, and this year the Ramble will be held on Sunday October 13th. You have the opportunity to view a wide variety of garden styles from formal to country, large and small.

The gardens vary each year so if you have visited in the past there will be new gardens to see. The Carnival of Scarecrows is held from Saturday October 5th to Sunday October 20th. Scarecrows can be seen throughout the village, in front yards, on roofs and in the most surprising of places. A scarecrow map is also available the day of the Village Garden Ramble. It's a fun time for the entire family and a great way to explore the village.

Bundanoon CreekAmeneties
Bundanoon has retained its village atmosphere, although our local businesses offer all you need on a daily basis, including Australia Post, a Supermarket with hardware section and video rental, delicatessen, bakery, butcher, chemist, newsagency, hairdresser, nursery, gift shop and pottery. Bundanoon has it own Fire Station, two Medical Practices and Convalescent Hospital. There's also the Bundanoon Hotel, and many fine guest houses.

School
Bundanoon offers Primary School for younger children, and there's a large selection of excellent public and private High Schools for older children in Moss Vale, Bowral, Mittagong and Goulburn, with bus services running to all high schools.

Driving Times
An easy 90 minute drive from Canberra or Sydney along the F5 freeway makes Bundanoon a convenient and central location where you can enjoy the country lifestyle you have dreamt about!
